    Years ago raccoon baculum were used for many things, from hand-tools to toothpicks, according to Captiva islander Karl Wightman. In August of 2017, Mr Wightman donated a toothpick fashioned from a racoon baculum (seen in detail in photo 2) and an unsharpened racoon baculum (photo 3) from his personal collection.
