Summary |
Before Anne Morrow Lindbergh and Robert Rauschenburg came to Captiva, Maybelle Stamper lived on Captiva, and had her art hung in major museums, including New York's Museum of Modern Art. She is considered a major American talent, a pioneer of contemplative feminist art, but because she infrequently exhibits, her pieces are seldom seen. Includes a history of her life up to her death. |
