Summary |
A new bill means that new beachfront buildings will have to be set back from both the present setback line and the 30-year erosion line in order to receive a permit. In addition, all structures will have to be built to withstand a 100-year storm and winds of 140 miles per hour; the public must continue to have access to beaches; coastal construction zones are extended inland; and no state funds can spent on undeveloped barrier islands. |
