Residents became worried and called the police when Joe Wightman didn't show up to his own family reunion. After three days of island-wide worry, Uncle Joe showed up late Tuesday night with a couple less teeth. Joe had made the trip to LaBelle to visit his dentist. He had several teeth pulled and was heavily sedated. Joe knew he couldn't drive back to Captiva, so he checked into a motel and slept. |
