Despite the fact that a majority of Captiva property owners voted in favor of the safety corridor, the Captiva Civic Association is requesting Lee County deny the proposal. This stems from an agreement that the vote must be overwhelmingly - or 75 percent - in favor of the safety corridor to proceed with plans. The ballot results are included in this article. |
