Description |
The i.d. card, circa 1973, was issued to chef Andreas Bieri as he entered employment in the USA (after emigrating to Canada from Switzerland in 1972). It was in 1974 Andreas arrived in Florida, as the new owners of South Seas Plantation enticed him to come to Captiva and become executive chef at The King's Crown Restaurant. These photos were provided to the CIHS by Andreas Bieri when he was a featured panelist in their 2017-2017 season event "Serving Up Memories of Captiva's Old-Time Eateries". |
