On October 20, 2020 Mike Boris and Bob Johnson inspected the bell at Captiva Chapel by the Sea. These 9 photos were taken at the time of that inspection. What we currently know about the bell: It’s amazing. The bell came from what is known as the 2nd Meneely Bell Foundry. The first collection of books on Captiva was in the home of Mrs. John R. Dickey, Dr. Dickey's widow, during the years 1928 to 1932. Dr. Dickey was the first winter resident on Captiva building his home in 1906. It is stilled the home of Mrs. Ernest Dickey, Dorothy. Two pictures are included (see title)
