   This photo is part of a collection provided to CIHS by Andreas Bieri and shows the destruction of the beach in front of The Mucky Duck due to a storm. There is a tree, mostly uprooted by storm surge and a sign on the tree trunk indicates that area is "Customer Parking Only". This tree had previosuly been in the parking lot and, in the photo is now surrounded by Gulf waters.

   Photos of the sign which used to hang at the corner of Captiva Drive and Andy Rosse Lane. The sign was loaned to the Captiva Island Historical Society, by Victor Mayeron, on the event of the CIHS Jan 19, 2018 "Serving Up Memories of Captiva's Old-Time Eateries" program, which was held at the Captiva Civic Center.

   Captiva Kate's restaurant was opened in 1989 by Jim and Annette Guilfoyle and located at 11506 Andy Rosse Lane. The Guilfoyles provided Dave Jensen these photos for CIHS archives.

   This color photo shows Antoinette Skoczek, manager of the Gumbo Limbo Apartments, located on the west side of Captiva Drive, just north of Murmond St. Antoinette was known to flag cars down as they drove by and offer to show passersby her accommodations. This photo, circa mid-1980's, is provided by Dave Jensen.

   These 14 photos, donated to CIHS in November 2018 by the (new) owners of McCarthy's Marina/Captiva Cruises, Brad & Leslie Junghans and Bob and Jenny Rando, show images of how the property appeared when previous owner, Paul McCarthy, purchased it from June (Rosse) Gilbert, the granddaughter of Andy Rosse. The dates of these photos are circa 1986.

    These 10 photos were loaned to CIHS by Andreas Bieri and show images of the exterior of Timmy's Nook and the dock around the time he purchased the property in 1995. One of the photos shows a portion of Captiva Drive, the photo taken from behind the chain-link fence which was put up after Timmy's Nook closed.

    Photographs loaned to CIHS by Andreas Bieri include images from his days as chef at South Seas Plantation. Each of the 13 images are text-captioned with information provided to CIHS by Mr. Bieri. Of particular interest is the narrative Mr. Bieri shared, "South Seas rented 3 cottages on Andy Rosse Lane, which were used for employee housing".
