    These 4 photos show the "list of names selected of persons qualified to serve as jurors for the year 1896 in and from Lee County, Florida". Within that handwritten list are Captiva Island residents George M. Ormsby and William H. Binder. These photographs were taken at the Lee County Records office, in the summer of 2018, from a loose-leaf binder labeled "Pioneer Names".

    These photographs were taken at the Lee County Records office, in the summer of 2018, from a loose-leaf binder labeled "Pioneer Names". The photos show "Lists of raises on property" from the year 1897. The list is handwritten on letterhead paper from Wm. M. Hendry, Clerk of Circuit Court, Lee County, Florida, and among the names listed are those of Captiva Island land owners, W.H. Binder and G.M. Ormsby.
